Anthropomorphic design choices

Gen V based them off of Western, Chinese and Japanese archetypes (Royalty, Journey to the West character and Samurai)
Gen VI based them on classical medieval archetypes (Fighter, Mage, Rogue)
Gen VII based them off of performers and entertainers (Archer, Heel and Singer)

While the design choices for Gen VI and VII were based on professions that humans do. It's easier to create an anthropomorphic design to get this idea across. That's why Primarina's the least anthropomorphic of the three because its job doesn't require physical movement like Decidueye and Incineroar's do

Except for Typhlosion, they just use charizard stats and gave it a worst type.
This starter was a mistake.

Also at least in Gen 1 the starters evolution gain some features like wings, canon or giant flower on the back when they evolve.

Meganium and Typhlosion are just bigger, Feraligatr is ok tho, it actually change aspect with its evolution and seems to gain some armor pieces wich looks kinda badass.
