Overnight, I put some Pokémon in my level 2 training resort at Pokémn Pelago.
After 26 play sessions, I checked save data and each Pokémon's Speed EVs went up by 2 per session for a total of 52.

If I improve the training island to it's third and final stage, will EVs increase by 4 per session, or still only 2 per session?

I also noted that the meals at the 1 star Battle Table facility in Festival Plaza only raise a given EV by 10.

How do i make the most of the pelago?

It's basically only for legendaries.
In order to use it, you must:
1) Possess a bottle cap for every individual IV you wish to max. These are rare as fuck and require untold poke pelago grinding for shards to exchange.
2) The pokemon must be level 100. The best place to grind exp is at the Elite Four rematches, which have ~lvl 60 pokemon. You do the math.

Collect beans, trade some of the better ones for upgrades, especially Isle Abeens first thing. You can also get some beans from the coffee stands sometimes.

Otherwise, it depends on what else you want out of it since it's good for idle and passive gains. Upgrading Isle Evelup to its final rank grants 4 EVs in any stat per half an hour without beans, taking 63 sessions (15h30m w/ beans, 31h30m otherwise) to have one of three groups of 1-6 Pokemon max a stat.

Hyper Training technically doesn't touch the IVs for the sake of Hidden Power and such, but rather assumes the stats boosted by it are maxed in battle.

The 'box trick' was technically a workaround that updated the stats properly. In Gen V onward, effort values are applied after battle and so Lv100 Pokemon can gain them properly, since they formerly were applied through EXP gains.

Bracers have been greatly buffed to ease ev training- cool, but once the evs have been maxed, is that all it takes to benefit from the resulting gains in stats, or do pokemon (even though they are usually down leveled to 50) need to be trained to lvl 100 to get those gains during battle tree and whatnot?

I also understand that bottlecaps are an option, though those are pretty difficult obtain.

Are HA on starters possible to get in game or do you have to wait for a promo like what GF usually does?
