What's everyone's opinion on normal types? Do you disregard them because they aren't super effective against anything? Do you main them?

Large type coverage
One weakness. Pretty good tbqh
I run then in Monotype

Often hard to justify fitting them on a team (talking about in-game) because they don't really fill a necessary hole. I'll make exceptions for ones I really like that get good coverage, like Porygon.

Never discount defensive type advantage. They may not have SE stab (assuming single typed) but immunity to ghost can make in-game runs a lot easier. They're just versatile. They can be thrown in almost wherever and usually have excellent move pools. I like them and use them as much as any other type on my teams.
They make great powerhouses and/or tanks in my experience. They usually function as a jack of all trades.
I can't think of many playthrough without at least one pure normal type on my team.
I'll use pure normal types as filler until I find better pokes. I like normal as a secondary typing, though, and some of my favorite pokes have normal in them.
Also I like forming normal type teams for fun sometimes.

Normal should've been called the Misc. Type.
I mean a manmade pink duck is the most normal thing you see in pokemon right?
That aside, Normal is a pretty good type. But we have yet to see it's best type combination, which is ghost.
