I just finished the grass trial, caught a Bounsweet. Kinda want to replace my Trumbeak as it's an ugly little boy and Bounsweet is qt, but it's underleveled and may unbalance my team. Is it worth it to dump the bird for the berry?

Yes, Tsareena is amazing
>>30367597
No, Tsareena is horrible

I'm getting mixed messages here
>>30367597
Trumbeak/Toucannon tears holes through everything. The fact that it can learn Brick Break is also amazing. Plus, Trumbeak evolves pretty early.

The second one is a meme. Tsareena evolves 1 level after Trumbreak to its final form and has enough physical attack and a diverse enough movepool to be good in comp. Toucannon is pretty meh.

Alright, let me rephrase this: I've got Salandit, Dartrix, A. Persian, Hariyama, Snorlax and Trumbeak currently. Which one, if any, would best be replaced by Bounsweet?
>>30367803
Datrix, it will be raped by every other Pokemon in the late game because they all have dark type moves.
>>30367597
ALWAYS CHOOSE HAREM ROUTE
>>30367803
Persian, his usefulness in-game starts to fall off later.
>>30367718
Tsareena can learn acrobatics and has a good attack stat to back it, so you don't really need Trumbeak for flying coverage on your team.
>>30367597
I use both to devastating effect.
>>30367828
Finally a sensible answer
>>30367821
>>30367829
But which one is less useless?
>>30367932
Persian would be better

So... Get rid of the starter? Isn't that something not to do?
>>30368057
Not really, the starters in SM are pretty ass.
>>30368057
Why not?
Reasons to keep a starter:
>sentimentality toward it being your first Pokemon
>liking the design enough to keep it on your team regardless of comparitive quality, no starter will ever be completely godawful because gamefreak designs them to be at least usable because so many people hit the first point
>its genuinely better than your alternatives
