Pokeballs working on them means they're Pokemon. Wicke says regular pokeballs have a hard time identifying them as Pokemon but because they're from an alternate dimension. If they weren't Pokemon they wouldn't work with Pokeballs period. Also the Pokedex literally classifies them as Pokemon. You can't just ignore it just because it doesn't fit your retard headcanon.
