WHY DIDN'T GAME FREAK ADD MORE COSTUMES FOR MIMIKYU!?

I have yet to see someone draw a charmander with a match or candle tied to the tail, and that disappoints me.

I kinda wish you could scan Amiibos, and doing so would make it so a new type of Mimikyu could spawn, being dressed as said Amiibo. Maybe with a fitting attack exclusive to the form.

Because it doesn't make any sense.
The whole idea of mimi appearing as other pokemon besides pikachu makes no sense.
Even if its something like lucario, it doesn't look as good anyway.

There's a ton of potential here. Mimikyu could learn different moves depending on which costume its wearing. When it wears its Pikachu costume, it gets Electric moves, when it wears the Carmander costume, it could get access to Flamethrower/Fire Blast.

There's so much untapped potential here.

Nothing to do with wants. Mimikyu wants to be loved, so it made a costume of the most beloved mon around. Dressing up like anything else would only hinder its plan.

Because Pikachu is extremely popular in universe too. Mimikyu wants to be popular. Why would it dress as anything else?

Minccino too since they tried to push that as the next Pikachu too.
