/ekx/ - Homebrew and Injection

General Guidelines for Requests

DO

- Provide In Game Name, Species, Level, and Gender of the deposited Pokemon and include the trade Message

- Check your deposited Pokemon regularly and alert Injectors if your request has been fulfilled or you have changed the deposited Pokemon for any reason such as Snipes

- Delete your previous QR post if it's wrong or revised. At least alert Injectors that it is incorrect.


Do NOT bump or beg and use discretion when it comes to multiple requests. If there are a lot of unfulfilled requests and you have already had a request fulfilled let others have a chance.


When Depositing a Pokemon

- General rule: Use something uncommon but not rare enough that people will want to snipe it.

- DO NOT use Pikipek or Yungoos or any other super common trash and DO NOT use Level 1 pokemon as those are snipe bait. An easy way to level up something for GTS trade fodder is to Battle any one pokemon in the Poni Plains with Exp Share on or by switching out.

- Recommended shitmons to use: Alomomola and Sylveon. Alternatively, Stone Eevee-lutions in the mid-teens or in the 40s. (You can buy Fire, Water, and Thunder Stones in KoniKoni City)

- Strictly prohibited: Ledyba, Abra, Pikipek, trade Evolutions, or any route 1 trash pokemon.

Regarding QR Codes
- Avoid Illegal Pokemon (based on GTS and not pkhex) : Hidden Ability Starters, Shiny locked legends, mythical pokemon, bankmons

- Avoid Untradeable/Illegal items: Megastones, unreleased items like certain berries

To reduce the chance of snipes ask for higher level Pokemon.

- Do help other requesters if they don't follow the guidelines so that they can revise their requests.

1) All anons are equal, so I do not find a reason why I should skip X instead of Y
2) Very important: the "problem with this Mon" works in this way, so that the anons can correct their Pokemons
3) I do not find this reason right: all anons must have the same chance of having their Pokemons, so a bump is fine: it makes me remind that Anon asked something and I am here to help
4) We can skip hard Pokemons, like Rattatas or starters, but something like a lvl 9 Sableye is very uncommon, therefore easy for us to search

Also, forgot to include this, yesterday we saw a lot unnecessary posts when Injectors skipped a large portion of requests at the top of the thread. There were at least 2 threads that had a lot of complaints about that and it slowed things down pretty heavily.

Skipping without communication or explanation leads to way more bumping and whining than there would otherwise be.

If you are going to start in the middle of the thread, injectors, please let us know why and whether the people above your starting point should bump their posts or not.

Questions? There were suggestions that were added to the OP sometime early this morning/last night.

1) Yes, they are equal so they should not be skipped without a good reason, it was widely agreed that depositing certain pokemon to trade fro their requests is a good reason to be skipped.
2) Yes, Injectors should communicate more, but they shouldn't have to spell out every little detail. A few words about the problem, such as "Hidden Ability not legal" or "can't find your level 7 Pikipek among the other 400000 Pikipeks"
3) This one was less agreed upon, but ultimately the most satisfying answer was "ignore people who bump 3+ times," especially if they have been responded to by an Injector.
4) This one is entirely up to the Injectors, but the reason for the level 10 (suggested) minimum is that Pokemon below level 10 are highly targeted by snipers, especially the more uncommon ones or popular competitive Pokemon
