Donphan on charge seems wrong, since it likes to curl up into a tire and roll out. The suspension system to let you ride it like a unicycle would be really ridiculous.
Maybe Ursaring on Strength if you rode on its shoulders, but that would be cumbersome for the Pokemon.
Mantine could've been for the waters somehow. It would be great for Dive if Dive was included.

Honestly, in terms of ORAS, I actually agree that the water is a bit much, but I feel the way SuMo/SM I don't give a shit what you call it did water left a bit to be desired. There's a small square fenced in area with barrels or some shit inside just a few steps south of the nursery. If you go into that fenced in area on foot, you can hop on your Tauros once you're inside. Just do the charged run in circles inside the fence over and over and over.
