They didn't give much thought to hms, kinda killed that, the plot wasn't a plot, it was clusterfuck, IV crap isn't even permanent, literally less post game than X&Y, more Pokemon by what, 8, gimmicks aren't a good thing, and the whole game is a gimmicky Shitiest, no new Megas is bad, literally the only thing they did right were the new breeding mechanics for balltism. The cutscenes were too much, the hand holding is insane, the evil teams are stupid, the frame rates suck, the lack of features are crap, the online is Shit, character customization options were downsized, it's all crap. You can try to defend it all you want, but gen 6 AND 7 were crap.

Well, they did put more effort into gen 6, objectively speaking. It was not only their first game on a new system (3DS), it was also their first venture into 3D graphics and designing all Pokemon in 3D took something like 3 years worth of development time. They just didn't have enough left for almost everything else (except competitive centric features I guess).
