Current team, hasn't really changed since the third trial. Just beat Sophocles/Vikavolt and currently trying to catch a fucking Bruxish from the Secluded Shore. Put 37 hours into the game, caught every mon in every route this far (filling up the dex in this game is really fun) and this games been great in terms of "difficulty" too.

Alolan Muk is a better dark type and it's only weak to ground.

With a 10% chance after every random battle or trainer fight to find an item, those two Meowths have given me a ton of free items. Like 20 potions, 12 super potions, status heal items, 5 escape ropes, 5 Hyper Potions, a nugget, a few Ultra Balls, Destiny Knot, and more. They don't fight for me, but they still pull their weight.

The nicknames, bar Grubbin, are in my native language Finnish but I could try explaining them if you're interested. Pichu isn't named since it was a trade from a friend, I got sick of never fucking finding one.

Say, I backtracked a little onto Melemele to catch Drifloon now that it's daytime again and collected the money reward from that one Beauty who wanted to see the Pokedex entry, but I'm sure there was still one of these NPCs I had to ignore the first time through. Maybe they wanted to see a Rockruff or something, but I forget since it was yesterday. Is there a list of these NPCs/their locations anywhere?

Depending on how willing I am to change my team comp near the end of the game, I may or may not forgo one of the Bug/Water types in favor of a Scizor. I'm also tempted to go back and nab a Parasect, but I have so many status effects already it's not really worth raising one just for Spore. I'll probably just stick Energy Ball on Ribombee.

I suggest go to the small open area in poni canyon and lead with some pokemon with resistant to dragon type and learn Thieve (I use Dugtrio), as well as having no item. When you encouter Jang-mo, use adrenaline orb, then lower his HP by thieve and weaker move until it is red or yellow, then wait for him to call Haka-mo. Use theieve on him, if he has no item then KO Haka-mo and wait for Jang-mo to call another one out again (waste your turn by bufing/debuffing healing, switching out or whatever). Rinse and repeat until you get Razor claw. I get around 4-5 Haka-mo.

Personally I enjoy it, but my Decidueye has heavily out levelled everything so far, so its weakness's don't show as often. It does feel pretty slow sometimes though, and this is with feeding it all the speed enhancements I can find.

You won't end up too under-leveled, I used 11 pokemon on and off and was only about 8-10 levels under the E4. I also caught a lot of pokemon as I was going through, but if you only use a team of 6 then you should be fine without the exp share. The BW level curve is really forgiving for underleveled pokemon.

I decided to go full autist and design a postgame UB hunting team. Pikachu, Jangmo-o and Wimpod are offsprings of my Pre-E4 team with egg moves. Since Raichu couldnt relearn Nasty Plot and I wanted to breed Aqua Jet onto Golisopod and give a try. Island Scanned the SmogonSword.

I don't think I'll be nicknaming them.

I just finished catching Necrozma.

I absolutely hated this team. It felt weak the entire game even though it was overleveled by about 3 levels to everything else. Everything except Muk and Turtonator got one or two shot constantly. They didn't even have hindering natures. I think I used more potions in this game than in any other and it felt like I was cheating or something.

Not sure but I think this team made me dislike this generation.

Just training on Mount Hokulani, everyone is level 28 apart from Golisopod.

I made the decision to not make a team at the start of the game and use all the new Pokemon I could.

I don't use exp share and I don't raise my Pokemon higher than what I know I'll be facing or what I feel is too high. This bit me in the ass at the end of the 2nd Island where I had my level 24-25s and then faced Olivia, UB 01 and Hau in quick succession.
If it wasn't for my A-Racticate and Nasty Plot Raichu those level 28s would've torn my asshole open.

I'd say the strongest 3 Pokemon I've used are Stufful/Bewear, A-Persian with Technician and Crabrawler with Iron Fist Power-Up Punch and Eviolite.

Weakest 3 are easily Gumshoos, Ribombee and A-Dugtrio, as they rarely OHKO anything and cannot take a hit at all.

That's pretty cool, I respect your dedication (>>30351779 here). I have similar experiences, sudden level spikes can hurt a lot. Bewear is great for how easy you can get it, same with Wishiwashi, I got a female japanese Stufful off the GTS with Ice and Thunder punches, bred my own from it and Cutiefly was pretty good for the first trial, but high speed alone doesn't mean much in the Alola, where everything has at least decent defenses.

Currently trying to catch my perfect Minior, let that purple cutie be a placeholder for now. Except for Misdreavus, Passimian (nobody seems to use this, but I love it) and Minior nothing is set in stone until the E4 because I'm having lots of Fun changing things up. Used Ribombee, Dartrix, Umbreon and Drifloon too but changed them up because i found thrm a bit boring after some time.
Snorlax is a beast, but also kinda boring of course, I'm just way too greedy with Happy Hour to change him up for now. Clothing and fancy pokeballs are expensive after all.

About to take on Olivia which should be easy af. Already beat Moon and filled out the dex, just playing Sun for living dex and extra legendaries and stuff. And to use a better team. I kind of hate the team I ended up with in Moon outside of like, Metagross and Raichu (which also contained Lurantis, Marowak, Lapras and Crabominable).

Just barely scrapped through the Grass Trail. It was wholly a one sided effort with each bro falling by the solar blade but I luckily managed to pull it off with an incredibly satisfying sun+blaze+charcoal charcoal charged fire fang from 3hp Torracat. Caught and evolved a bounsweet on the way out and thinking of keeping it on; kawaii af and I have a soft spot for tankish grass types.

Just beaten the 2nd trial. Covered one is an Eevee I'm trading my girlfriend tomorrow, so it's a surprise for her.

I'm doing a completely blind nuzlocke, and I've been getting my ass kicked a lot. Totem battles are intense.

Gotta say, the team has had its ups amd downs. But everyone hsa gort it's time to shine. Notable mentions include:

Artemis walling completely Lusamine's bewear, it could only use baby doll eyes against me.

Keen setting up against Hapu's Flygon and proceeding to wreck it and OHKO her Mudsdale.

Alexandrite having a very good battle against Guzma's Goliosopod, blocking it and then phasing it out with dragon tail.

Metabee in general being very versarile in its moves and singlehandedly defeating totem Wishi-Washi

Richter for destroying more totems than anyone else in the team (Salazzle, Vikavolt and Mimikyu) and generally being very reliable.

And finally Acanthasia for stalling most boss pokemon and Kahunas. Merciless is good for in game.

I'm having a stupid hard time getting stuck deciding on a last member. I'm on the 3rd isle just before the ghost trial.

I'd like a special attacker with no type overlap. Preferably bulky.

I thought about Clefable but you can't really get a good set on it till much later. Also thought of

All these niggas having trouble with hau who was ez as fuck, meanwhile gladions weavile swept nearly my whole team. Rng bailed my ass out and he used night slash instead of ice shard on my 4x weak to ice eggsecutor. He was my last pokemon alive too.

Yeah I know, the item table shifts to the left with every 10 levels. 1-10, 11-20, etc. I don't think it'd be worth the effort though, I might not keep them in my party too much longer by this point in the game. It's been nice to have since earlier on, though.
