IVs make up about 31 difference in maximum stats at level 100. Natures give you a 10% boost/decrease to corresponding stat so yeah they are pretty important. Nature moreso than IVs but now with caps anything is possible.

I'm at this point where I dont want to catch any of the legendaries or invest in breeding anything until pokebank hits and it all changes up. I'd have to do shit like catch dittos and synchronizers that I can just skip entirely when I dump them in from y version. Uh so for the same-species breed, you'd want a female totodile with the HA and a male totodile with the ball, and the children will get the male ball 15% of the time (I think) and the female's hidden ability passes down 50% of the time, so you'll need a few eggs until you get the right one.
