they're better than people think by seeing weedle and caterpie
the new bug type, ribombee, is really good. could definitely see it being ou or uu. really fast and has a lot of special attack, plus access to quiver dance if you can survive setting it up. but even without quiver dance it can ohko a decent amount of pokemon.
