I don't understand why araquanid has the ability water bubble. Araquanid is a physical attacker, but the only physical water moves he learns are waterfall and liquidation. And while some the special water moves he gets are fantastic, he only has a special attack stat of 50. So even if those special water moves' base powers are doubled, they still won't be doing much with that abysmal Special attack stat. They really should have made him a special attacker, or given him more physical water moves
Name a widespread physical Water move better than Liquidation.
Protip: you literally can't

Aqua Tail is really good, despite that 90% accuracy

At the very least it should get aqua jet to pick off whatever liquidation doesn't kill.

imagine it as a new kind of azumarill, then things will be alright

This is pretty much the only thing I want for Araquanid. 120 BP priority after Bubble and STAB? Oh baby.

It doubles the power of all offensive water moves, not just special.
This is my favorite Pokémon from Gen VII

*BUMP*
I know this

Crabhammer would be a better answer. Aqua Tail is less useful than Waterfall.

Last time I checked, Araquanid wasn't a fucking crab

85BP 100Acc with Def drops > 90BP 90Acc desu

Aren't crabs closely related to arachnids?
>>30324090
A simple statistical calculation could tell you that.

Araquanid doesn't have a tail either. Why are we even bringing up moves it can't even learn?

>he only has a special attack stat of 50.
Occasional reminder that this bad motherfucker has a base attack stat of 50. A 2x multiplier is a 2x multiplier, using Scald until it learns Liquidation is perfectly fine in-game.

>Crawdaunt and Clawitzer are crabs

Therly are in the same order of species.

Closer to insects. Insect wings are believed to be modified external crustacean gills.
