Does Corrosion allow Salazzle to damage Steel types with Poison type attacks? Or can it only poison Steel types with status moves?

Like if it uses Sludge Bomb, would it bypass the immunity? Or would it only be able to use say, Toxic and poison the Steel type? I guess this is sort of silly since it already has Flamethrower but in the case of say, Heatran or something, I'm wondering how its Poison type attacks would fare.

So, trying to think out my team for the postgame/casual fun fights with friends. Not sure if this is really the best thread for advice on that context, but fuck it.

S.O.S chaining can give four perfect IVs.
So get a Ditto with 4 IVs.
Get the mon you want to breed with 4 perfect IVs.
Make sure together they cover at least 5 stats.
breed them. No you have a 5 IV mon. Only a question of time until you get another 5 IV with the opposite gender and from there it comes down to chance until you get a 6 perfect IV mon.
Also, don't forget to get the destiny knot. You can get it with pickUp so you don't have to grind battle tree/battle royale.

For the battle tree and battle royale it's level 50. But you only get downscaled if you are above that.
If you are below you stay there. So you have to level at least until 50.

Because it can't really determine which one to redirect towards. Part of the strategy of Battle Royal is determining which Pokémon your opponents are going to attack and what order each person will attack in. Then you make your decision of who to attack based on how you think the turn will play out. Priority is a blessing in Battle Royal, which I think is why Golisopod has always been such a big help to me in them.

I don't know why people keep saying they just constantly target the player, I think it has to do with weaknesses and resistances. They'll always go after a pokemon that will be hit by super effective damage from one of their moves, especially if it's x4 effectiveness. They seem to prioritize that. They'll ignore mons with few or no weaknesses, like spirittomb, mimikyu and golisopod, even if they aren't particularly bulky. The team that I won with was just golispod, mimikyu and primarina. I feel like elektross would do well if people had access to it judging by how the ai functions. If your pokemon does get hit and gets weak they'll also go after it, but they also pick and choose between mons they can hit super effectively, too, so even if you've got a flying type and one of your opponents does, and then another opponent has an electric type, there's still a good chance he'll hit the other guy's flying type instead. this is just all from personal experience, but the point is is that I've only had one game where I've been completely ganged up on and I had a kartana against three fire types.

Here's a quick rundown about IVs, EVs, and Natures.

IVs are, in essence, a Pokemon's genes. For each stat, there is a hidden value running from 0 to 31 (32 values total). If the value is higher, then the stat will be higher, and vice versa. These are set from the moment you get the Pokemon and can only be changed through Hyper Training or Bottle Caps. You can manipulate IVs through SOS chaining for wild Pokemon. With eggs, having one parent hold a Destiny Knot will cause the offspring to pick an IV from each stat the parent has. Example: if parent A has 31 in HP while parent B has 18 in HP, the offspring will pick one of those values for its HP IV. A guy at the Battle Tree will tell you if a Pokemon has 0 in a stat by stating his concern, or 31 by giving his approval.

EVs are more like training. Each Pokemon you defeat has a set EV value that it yields upon KO to whoever participates in battle (unless you use EXP Share, which hits everyone with EVs). 4 EVs in a stat increase that stat by 1 point at level 100, and you can only give 255 to a single stat. A Pokemon is only allowed 510 total EVs, so it's important to spread them out to relevant stats. You can get more EVs per KO with Choice items, which give 4 EVs to a particular stat upon defeating a Pokemon.

And then there's Natures. They are a permanent modifier to stats. Each Nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. Some Natures affect the same stat, like Docile, and you end up with a net 0. Natures are a separate entity from IVs, and they cannot be changed. When breeding, a Pokemon holding an Everstone will pass on its Nature to the offspring.

I feel you my lvl 58 Krookodile got outsped by his Decidueye. I'm pretty sure that even if I had 0 speed IVs and he had a speed enhancing nature and max IVs that shouldn't happen. Just to elaborate upon the Battle Tree: You need to hatch twenty eggs before the Ace Trainer wakes up and gives your PC the ability to check IVs.

It doesn't give you exact numbers though, but rather, general ideas. 30 will be Fantastic and 31 is Best. In any case, if you want to artificially raise an IV you can do Hyper Training, but that is only at Lv 100. What that does is that they can boost IVs, but whatever IV it was originally will be used when it comes to breeding and Hidden Power. Meaning... you can use Hyper Training to raise a 20 IV to 31, so that stat will be better in battle. But for every other purpose, like when passing IVs via breeding or determining Hidden Power type, the 20 IV will be used instead.

Celesteela has a good half-dozen natures that are good on her, since you can build her as a tank or as a sweeper.
