You literally photograph one floating around for the ghost trial. It has floated in every anime appearance for decades. It was literally given Levitate when abilities were introduced specifically because it floated.

The only reason it's gone is because of VGC.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense with other OP Pokemon that they know about left completely untouched. Gengar and Talonflame got targeted hate, but Aegislash doesn't bother them, Landorus is fine, Blaziken is A-OK, and Greninja should now recieve a free switch-in on Priority and has a second form to surprise people with? In what fucking universe could they even pretend to believe these Pokemon are balanced but Gengar is too much?

They balance around VGC which allows a lot of legendaries and plays totally different due to being 2v2 and everyone having Protect. I'm guessing Protect + Levitate + Mega stone was too much prediction.

Wish I had caught it... I found a Gastly that still had Levitate in one of the graveyards. So Levitate is definitely still available. Unless it just outright changes upon evolution.

I don't like what they did with Levitate in general. It's not "here are this Pokemon's abilities. You can choose from two or three, one is Levitate for that immunity."

Instead, it's "This Pokemon floats, so Levitate is a part of this Pokemon's design. It gets Levitate and nothing else. It must always have Levitate."

Bronzong is the only mon that has Levitate plus other abilities. It's just stupid.

Immunity to fighting is massive

I get this feeling they did this because they wanted it to abuse terrain, not to make it worse. I wish they gave it a better ability though. Hell play on its poison side more and give it Merciless so it can run Toxic and just Merciless Hex everything.
