I only have soft balltism. Special balls are for shinies, the rest I catch them all in regular pokeballs. Even if it's hard as balls to catch legendaries.

I got balltism out of my system back in Gen 6. I kept redoing teams for IVs and then for balls. Decided to just stick to one signature Balltist team to use each gen, even if the changing meta makes it shit/better than before.

Sucks that you can't get your Balltist fix with the starters or Silvally this gen though. This is probably what made me get over it.

I'm pretty pleased with my whole team being in poke balls, except my ace in the hole Mimikyu which is ultra. Looks really neat at the Pokemon center if Mimikyu is in the 3rd or 4th slot.

Balltism is especially big where inheritance is possible and where IVs are less important, now your pokeball is one of the only unchangeable variables left.

In RBY, I used Ultra Ball as soon as I could, and only used them. Master Ball was for Mewtwo.
In GSC, I did the same. I was lazy.
In RSE, I began using only regular Pokeballs, even for legendaries.
In DPPt, I continued using only regular balls.
In BW and BW2, the same principle.
In XY, I used Luxury Ball for anything and everything I wanted to breed as shiny or competitive. Regular ball otherwise.

Now, I used the following;
