You can EV train pretty fast using SOS chaining, and the pokepalego can be used to gain EVs passively

I don't know about resetting EVs instantly, I've just farmed the EV lowering berries

There are instant EV resetting drinks available from high tier shops in Festival Plaza, not sure which ones though. Unfortunately it's very grindy compared to Join Avenue as you can't simply upgrade shops, and the only real way to improvise it is to grind out that Battle Matchup mission online.

From Ula'Ula Island, you can find EV reducing berries. Poke Pelago offers many planting spots for them if you keep upgrading Isle Abeens.

Similar thing here, shops at their best can offer instant EV maxing drinks. Pelago offers passive EV training, which I think maxes out a single stat within 31 and a half hours (15 and a half with beans)?

So earlier today some guy on the board was giving away Porygon in Beast Balls over the GTS. You'd think this would've tripped the illegal mon filter, but no. Man, after super training in gen 6, EV training feels really slow in SM.
All of the 3 options take a while to set up.

Fastest to set up is probably Pelago, but that one works passively in the background.

Festival plaza takes a shit load of time to set up (Unless you have friends/ beg online for the right shops) and then you still need to constantly farm those stupid mini games.

Chaining takes some BP to buy the power items to make it worth it but from there on it's probably the best option.
And with pokerus it's even faster.

You can do it all in one go. Each island upgrade allows you to do another group of six training on one stat you specify.

But yeah just put them in, select the stat you want to EV train and select how many sessions you want, up to 99. 63 will give 252. It will take 31.5 hours but you can halve the time by putting in beans.

You might want to replace Incineroar's Charcoal with Leftovers, and Alolan Exeggutor can't have Chlorophyll. Araquanid also has terrible special attack, and Liquidation is hella sweet on it. You might also want to replace one of Minior's Rock-type moves for one that allows more coverage.

Oh yeah and Oricorio is kind of situational. Revelation Dance is the only STAB it gets for its primary type outside of Hidden Power, amongst several other issues.

Question 1: If you're breeding an Alolan form Pokemon, is there any way to get one of the parents to pass on a nature using the Everstone without the offspring being in their original form? Like, is the offspring only in its original form if it's the mother that holds the Everstone, or is it either parent, or what?

Question 2: How does the whole Zygarde reconstruction thing work, exactly? Will having a synchronizer at the head of my party effect its nature? & can either form have Power Construct? Serebii's a bit unclear on it, it sounds like only 50% can have it.

Earlier I caught a male Espeon with its HA. Is it possible to breed an evee with its HA passed down? Everything I've read so far is mixed results i.e. you need a ditto/it can only be from a female/it's 20% chance to pass it's HA

Choose your existing Zygarde when reassembling at the machine.

If you get all cores and cells, you can build or upgrade an existing Zygarde into one with Power Construct, who from there can seamlessly change between forms with the Zygarde Cube.

Once you reach 60 you can make a 50% and a 10% zygarde.
But making an existing one switch forms backwards is only possible when it has power construct, so you need all 100 cells first.

Not that guy, but I put in a bunch of Lv 12-18 Meowth in the Pelago for 99 sessions and they're all 24-26 now. It's 49.5 hours for 99 sessions, but I was using beans a lot to cut down the EV training time I was doing in the other group, so I couldn't tell you specifically how long it ended up being.

It's probably a flat rate of EXP, based on the increased stability of the levels over time. It's not that much, either, considering that something with decent EXP scaling like Meowth only gained a dozen levels despite spending over 2 days on it. I can't imagine it'd be any real help in squeezing out the last few levels until Lv 100 (which is what I had wanted to use it for) so you can Hyper Train.

Are the island scan pokemon legal in VGC? It says on serebii they are not native or something but you can catch them in the game so idk

It's the only way to get Snorlax's Z-Crystal. Also it comes with Happy Hour, which is a godsend if you spam it in the earlygame and extra helpful if you pair it with the Amulet Coin on the second island.

Destiny Knot held by either parent guarantees that a child will inherit 5 IVs between its parents.

If you breed 2 perfect IV pokemon, 5 out of 6 will always be perfect.

So the best method is to have Destiny Knot on one, and Everstone on the other that has the nature you want.

No. You only need to be Lv 100 for Hyper Training, but most of the time it'll be easier to grind out more eggs for IVs than it will be to grind out bottle caps for an entire team of 6 pokemon. The worst part is that almost all competitive play (including the Battle Tree) is locked at Lv 50, meaning you're effectively wasting a ton of levels just so you can fix IVs. If you've got a 6 IV Ditto you filthy cheater you, then it's even easier to just breed more shit instead of grinding bottlecaps.

So Hyper Training is IVs. I only battle within a friend group of 9-16 people so i just want to know how to EV train so i dont literally job to everyone. Only like 4 or 5 do IV stuff but i usually just manage to outplay them half the time. So far PPelago is the only method of EV training that doesnt involve me having to go get rekt for power items, I havent EV trained since B&W and im kind of an idiot when it comes to this stuff.

63 sessions for a SINGLE maxed-out stat is 31.5 hours (assuming you don't bean most of that in half), so you're looking at about 3-4 days to max out a single pokemon's EVs using the Pelago alone.

If you need to train Special Attack, go to the Ghost trial grounds and kick the ass of everything there. It all gives Special Attack (except for Golbat, who gives Speed, but most Special Attackers need Speed anyway). If you need to, take the Demo Greninja, empty your party of everything else but the pokemon you're EV training, and use him to one-shot the entire joint. The Demo Greninja comes fully EV trained so you don't need to worry about that.

Also, chaining doubles the EV gained in the whole chain(even for the first mon) and if you wear a power item the gains from them get also doubled.

That's still a day and a quarter to train up a single pokemon's EVs. If you're handling your entire party at once, you can speed up the process by overlapping training time, but that's still one hell of a time to wait when you could fully EV train 5 mons in about 2-3 HOURS back in Gen VI. Having to punch the Battle Tree for 96 BP just so you can EV train even remotely efficiently is too harsh of a step back.
