Tried out the SOS chaining method on Cutiefly last weekend. Got a shiny on the 40th. Shit ability but still cute as fuck, 10/10 gonna try again for a better ability so that's my next/current hunt again I suppose.

accidentally killed a shiny sandygast that appeared at around 60 KOs. Trying to resurrect it. Have tried 3 chains of about 200 each one. Havent found anything. Send me your shiny energy /vp/.

I'm done shiny hunting/chaining until I get my charm back...but I do have 4 shiny doggos

shouldn't take more than a week to finish the dex

538 into SOS Drifloon, no luck so far. The fact that it's Ghost and half of them have Aftermath doesn't make it any better.

Chained a Feebas to about 42 or so until a Sassy female shiny Feebas showed up. Increased Spec Def for Speed is a pretty decent nature, I feel pretty pretty lucky. Only took a couple hours.

SOS chained for a shiny bounsweet for fucking 700 fucking tries and when I finally got one I hated the colors and it came with its hidden ability instead of oblivious so I was extra pissed.

I don't like using Ethers on False Swipe, so I try to use False Swipe as little as possible.

It doesn't help that my main team is unable to learn False Swipe, so the best I have is a Lv. 44 Absol, and it only does half their HP with a False Swipe, so I'd waste 2 PP per Pyukumuku.

First chain broke cause I accidentally killed the last mon out before the next SOS went through (but the damn thing wouldn't call for 10 straight turns), and second chain failed because I didn't switch over in time and the stupid thing struggled. Giving myself a bit of time before I do that again because that got frustrating after a while.

Just one orb, it's a one time thing. You only need one for one fight. So just bring berries which restore PP, false swipe and that's it.Keep killing the mons, alternating between them, wait for the shiny to show up.

I've been trying to chain sandygast but stupidly didn't realise that a fucking SANDcastle might know SAND attack, given that I'm already having to bring a pokemon with odor sleuth so I can false swipe them I'd rather not have to switch to something with clear body after odor sleuthing them with one pokemon, false swiping with another and killing non-shinies with a third.
Is there an item that can counteract the sand attack?

Wild too, Near perfect IV's , only thing it's slightly under in is sp ATK, but who gives a fuck about that.
Shame it can't learn Sucker punch w/o breeding but I'm still gonna use the fuck out of it.

Tried for a shiny Popplio, but 6 boxes later and I'm a bit burnt out, double suck that since the colors are so damn similar I check in fear of missing it.

I've caught this little guy and a shiny Pelipper within two days of each other. Elekid was after maybe 5 SOS chains of hunting Electabuzz and Pelipper was an "unwanted" encounter.

My only other shiny was a Golbat in SoulSilver and I can't believe how common they are now.

I was on the beach looking for a sandygast and a staryu appeared.
I was like ugh fuck off staryu.
I hit it with a grass attack and it took around 60% dmg.
It called for help and a white staryu appeared.
Now I have a slightly different purple Starmie.

I am fairly sure that SOS "chaining"dosent actually have boosted shiny odds, its just because the fact that they have boosted IV shit so it makes it more likely that you roll the right dice so it can still take a thousand trys or more but you have a much higher chance that regular.

You can use Sychronize for good natures, and every Pokémon after the 40 has at least 4 IV at 31. You can use Bottle Caps tho for the not perfect IV.

You can use a ditto but eggs will take twice the steps to hatch. The best would be having a parent caught by you and the other got from another country (it need to have a little tag like ENG, ITA; JAP and so on), both in the Pokéball you want, and someone with Flame Body to hatch them faster.
