Am I the only one disappointed they didn't have any food relating to shaved ice? I hear a lot from my relatives in Hawaii that they have kick ass shaved ice and that its better than any dinky snowcone

I imagined a malasada was like a big pocket full of teriyaki beef and asian vegetables or something similar.
I was disappointed to find out its just a donut. So I'm going to start making the thing I thought they were and selling them until when you hear the word malasada you think fried beef sandwich

Actually always called them Chinese donuts specifically, in part because every (good) chinese buffet I've been to has had them.
