Just threw my Master ball at Lunala as soon as it started. Settled for Calm and said fuck it. Obviously named it Nebby.

Ultra Ball, like all story legendaries. Can't be fucked with to spend all that time trying to cram it into a special ball, and the Master Ball is usually reserved for the last Legendary I catch in a game or the odd self-destructing shiny.

Anon. Solgaleo/Lunala are about as hard to catch as an Eevee or Smeargle.

Ditto and Skarmory are harder to catch than the Box Legendaries.

Master Ball. I always use other balls to catch legendaries so I can keep the master ball and I wind up never using it. I figured I'd do it this time since I'm confident I can get any pokemon if I really wanted to. Plus it makes thematic sense since Gladion gives you the ball and after all it is Nebby.

I already did this myself, it took 2 balls when I put it to sleep.

sleep status = 10x extra catch rate, beast ball on non-UB is 0.1x. Sleep cancels out the bad rate.

Luxury Ball. Second ball I chucked at full HP and it stayed in. Had the perfect nature and IV distribution as well. Gotta love those 45 catch rate legends.

it would be 10x whatever the calculation that includes the ball is. So I guess yeah it would essentially be 35x, not as high as you were thinking though. Using a beast ball and sleep = pokeball. Using a pokeball and sleep = 10x.

paralysis and poison is 5x and frozen is 10x too.

Is there something I am missing in the catch rate formula? I caught the Tapu's and Necrozma super easily. Tapus only took a few Ultra Balls each, Necrozma actually went in on the first one, and they all have a catch rate of 3, same as Beldum.
