SM set us off in a better direction with Ninetales and Aurora Veil, but ice still has a long way to go catching up to other types.
Hail and Ice need more tools in general. Here are some new move ideas
>Frozen Terrain- lowers speed and accuracy of non-ice types by 25%
Frost Prison- traps the foe. Using this move on a trapped for causes frz
Jagged Shards- Ice type stealth rock

And some new abilities-
Flash Freeze- Sets Frozen Terrain
Blizzard Force- Huge power in hail (couldn't think of two more types to buff a la sand force)
Cold Hearted- Steel worker for ice type, grants hail immunity as well

Cold hearted would obviously be for non-ice types. Speaking of non-ice types:

You use Water-types or Fairies instead because whatever you are proposing, GF will never do anything to fix Ice types whatsoever. But I think that Ice-type should be immune to itself and resist Water/Dragon.

Ice type moves deal normal damage to water types and have a +40% chance of freezing them.

Give Water, Fairy and Grass resistance

I disagree with ice resisting fairy. There are enough stupid matchups in this game, like fairy resisting bug, or like electric resisting steel. I think Ice should resist flying, because the cold air makes all types of flying harder.

So, give ice a resistance to ground and flying desu.

This, but I think waters resistance to ice should be removed too. Ice type moves are sometimes ice chunks and sometimes pure "cold energy". Maybe a resistance to electric due to lowering energy as well.

Yeah, but that's stupid. If everything in pokemon was centered around the meta it'd be less enjoyable, all the mons would be 600 BST sweepers and tanks with no variety. Fairy being immune to dragon just to make it worse is bad enough, same with Dark and Psychic. I think we're better than GF, you know?
