Minior was thought to get and Evolution since 'Mini' is in it's name, it's mini to what?

I was thinking it could evolve and have the 'it just gets bigger' treatment, instead it's spikes get longer and bigger and they flash all the colors of the cores that it can be, but when it's shell breaks off, it'll have the broken parts float around it like Saturns rings
