Why is this allowed?
>>30289023
It's called design anon, not that you would understand anyways.
>>30289023
Why are you allowed?

You know the space between its eyes opens the Pokedex, right?
You can actually press the black space between its eyes to quickly open the dex up. The rest is a complete waste though, yeah.
>>30289079
I'm pretty sure OP understands because it's true. They could have added a few buttons to that wasted space area
You press ONE button and an entire menu pops up.
What exactly are you complaining about? The waste of energy it is to lightly press X?
>>30289108
You know that the game does a piss poor job of communicating that to the player right?
This is bad game design 101. Learn what affordances are.
>>30289171
Like what? What could they have added?
>>30289023
bottom screen is going away completely in switch version so it doesn't really matter what they do with it in this one
>>30289212
xy oras had buttons
>>30289023
That's because this gen was designed with single-screen in mind. Because of the transition to Switch next year.
>>30289208
Rotomdex literally tells you this. Moments after activating the thing.
PAY ATTENTION, you fucking attention deficient sperg!
>>30289300
>have to buy a switch to keep playing pokemon
fug
>>30289212
Practical fucking buttons like access to your Pokemon, Items, etc without having to press X first
>>30289023
>wasted space
The black part between its eyes is a shortcut to the Pokedex.
because rotom is a dork
>>30289212
Your current team? Button shortcuts? A simplified version of the PSS? Literally anything that isn't le wacky rotom eyes.
>>30289304
No it doesn't. It only tells you how to open the town map
>>30289108
in what way is this better than just having a pokedex button
>>30289212
Maybe the PSS?
The menu buttons?
A way to cycle through functions?
Why even get rid of the PSS in the first place, the festival plaza is shit in comparison. You don't even need to get rid of the rotom frame, just put something more useful than the fucking map.
>>30289023
It isn't wasted, tap Rotom in those areas and he reacts. It's cute.
>>30289232
Pretty much this. It's the reason they didn't even try with the lower screen this time around.
>>30289375
>oh no! I wasted half a second and a single calorie pushing a button!
>>30289500
>It's cute.
>design experts
>tap the map because I see how I'm supposed get to a certain area
>rotom starts talking
>tap it again afterwards
>opens the map
my only real complaint
Why can't we have HGSS's bottom screen back? The touch screen was actually useful then.
Technically i kind of like the map gimmick. At least the main menu has more availability it once had prior generation V.
