Just run life orb Pheromosa.
>>
Mimikyu@Normalium Z
252 att/spd
Splash
Shadow Sneak
Leech Life
Play Rough

Kartana@Life Orb
252 att/spd
Leaf Blade
Smart Strike
Air Slash
[Forgot]

The ONLY things that have managed to break through Mimikyu are Hypnosis spammers and since the RNG is never in your favor it really fucks you over. Kartana usually comes in clutch in that case but something like say a Darmanitan will outspeed you regardless.

I really need a third member besides Tapu Koko, he's not working.

I am so shit at non-story fights, I didn't even think of Focus Sash, time to un-box Pheramosa and try Battle Tree again.
Yes, I am completely retarded.

Why does everyone run Shadow Sneak? The only desirable thing about it is priority which you don't need with decent speed, and when you do need it it's not going to do you much help anyways. Someone explain.
>>
>>30286007
>anon too lazy to change single move

Just drop this already kiddo
>>
>>30285840
He's one of those le +3 without an item is better than +2 and a life orb memers.

Anyways, here are my 50 streak lineups

Singles:
Golisopod @ Leftovers, bulky attacker spread
First Impression
Aqua Jet
Sucker Punch
Leech Life

Nihilego @ Life Orb, fast special attacker spread
Sludge Wave
Power Gem
Dazzling Gleam
Thunderbolt

Kartana @ Fightium Z, fast attacker spread
Smart Strike
Leaf Blade
Sacred Sword
Swords Dance

Pretty straightforward, chip with Golisopod, when he emergency exits bring in whichever UB is more appropriate and get your free beast boost, then power through the enemy team. Made it to 80 wins before getting wrecked.

Doubles:
Oranguru @ Mental Herb, bulky trick room spread
Ability: Inner Focus
Trick Room
Instruct
Protect
Psyshock

Torkoal @ charcoal, trick room special attacker spread
Ability: Drought
Eruption
Heat Wave
Protect
Solar Beam

Hariyama @ flame orb, trick room attacker spread
Ability: Guts
Fake Out
Knock Off
Close Combat
Wide Guard

Celesteela @ leftovers, trick room special attacker spread
Flamethrower
Flash Cannon
Grass Knot
Protect

Lost on battle 58 to a fucking rain support greninja

Multi battle is my next challenge.

Look, all I'm asking for is situations where 40bp Shadow Sneak has saved you where nothing else would have.
>>
>>30285604

What build on a naive set?
>>
>>30286197
when you are slower than the opposing pokemon and it is weak enough to be killed by your 40 bp shadow sneak

this is very intuitive and there is absolutely nothing else to explain
>>
>>30286120
Wouldn't lava plume be better than heatwave on torkoal? It's slightly less powerful but 100% accuracy and 20% higher chance of burn seems more useful
>>
>>30285460
I only did 20 Single Battles with this team:

Nihilego @ Life Orb
252 SpA / 252 Spe, Timid
Sludge Bomb
Stealth Rock
Power Gem
Thunderbolt

Xurkitree @ Psychium Z
252 SpA / 252 Spe, Timid
Hypnosis
Dazzling Gleam
Thunderbolt
Tail Glow

Then either Buzzwole or Kartana to finish off the team:

Buzzwole @ Leftovers
Can't remember EV spread but it's enough to max HP and even out Atk and Def, while Atk is slightly higher for Beast Boost. Adamant
Hammer Arm
Ice Punch
Leech Life
Bulk Up

Kartana @ Scope Lens
252 Atk / 252 Spe, Jolly
Swords Dance
Leaf Blade
Sacred Sword
Night Slash

It could be so much better, I don't even know what their IVs are but I figure just EV training will suffice for now. I think I'd wait 'til Bank to truly tackle the Tree so for now I just wanted to get the started Mega Stones and to maybe clear the regular streaks prior to the Super streaks.
>>
I'm a noob to battle facilities. I know what evs, ivs, natures, and egg moves are and I can breed for Pokemon I need. Where do I start with teambuilding? Is there a particular Pokemon good for noobs to use to get used to playing?
>>
>>30286317
Garchomp, Mega Lucario, Stingulor, Mega Kangaskhan and Nihilego are straightforward enough
>>
>>30285857
So I take it that these trainers have a pool of Pokemon to choose from then only choose a few (three or four) to actually use in battle right?

I'm kinda glad to see Blue has some Pokemon from his FR/LG rematch and his HGSS rematch team (namely Tyranitar and Rhyperior).
>>
>>30286317

I cleaned up with this Dragonite in maison singles. I streak of 100 with him cleaning most of it.

Dragonite@Lum Berry
Adamant
252 atk/6 def/252 speed

Dragon Dance
Outrage (confusion nerf helps here)
Earthquake
Fire Punch.
>>
>>30285969
>What about Sina? You have Dexio, but not Sina
I can't find the Sun exclusive ones while playing Moon. So I don't know the teams of Plumeria, Kiawe or Sina.
>>
>>30286380
that's exactly how it worked in gen 5, so yes i'd wager so

it's not like i can confirm because this place pushes your shit in from the get go
>>
>>30286317
I'd second garchomp for sure. Also something like xurkitree or phermosa would be easy.
>>
>>30286444
Wait, Plumeria is a version exclusive too? I thought it was just Sina and Dexio and Kiawe and Mallow.
>>
>>30286380
That's right. When I fought red he only ran venasaur, snorlax, and lapras
>>
>>30286255
I'm not arguing the utility of Shadow Sneak, but with Mimikyu and all of his coverage options or lack thereof it seems like a wasted slot. All the Pokémon I've ever had to use Shadow Sneak against in the Battle Tree are Pokémon who'd fuck me up regardless. My issue simply boils down to the fact it's been more of a hindrance than help.
>>
>>30286481
I saw someone mention her having an M-Gengar in the tree and she is in the datamine text.
>>
>>30286293

It also hits Oranguru, which doesn't run telepathy because inner focus is more important to stop fake outs from stopping TR.
>>
>>30286572
Where is the datamine text?

>Sweeper used attack

Sunfag here

Plumeria has Crobat, Gengar, Salazzle, can carry mega on Gengar

Kiawe has Marowak A, Talonflame, Kangaskhan, Salazzle and Arcanine Kanga can be a mega.

Sina has an ice team with Abomasnow, Glaceon, Avalugg and some other shit I can't remember, Abomasnow is her mega.
>>
Gastrodon @ Assault Vest
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Clear Smog/Sludge Wave
- Scald
Goes in any team.
>>

Tapu Koko
Nihilego
Buzzswole
Ash Greninja
Snorlax

I'd assume they get a full team of 7 like the others. Avalugg on Sina is a surpise, maybe I missed one of Dexio's.

If Sina was one of the Masked Heroes, who could the other one have been?
>>
I want to use A-Muk in as many scenarios possible. Recommend a set? Poison Touch shenanigans?
>>
>>30286805
I bet the maxed heroes were just their signature mons

maybe in X, it was Sina and Obama and in Y is was Dexio and Alakazam?
>>
>Rest Minimize Muk
Fuck me, should've had a Taunt user.
>>
>>30286611
Ah didn't see that.
>>
>>30286317
Battle facilities are nothing like Battlespot. Enemy trainers will use sets no sane player would because they influence the rng to suit them and fuck you over. A safe rule of thumb is to assume an enemy move has 20-30% more accuracy then normal while yours have the same amount taken away. Their crit chance is also boosted. Their teams will be built specifically to counter yours, becoming better the higher you go, which is why the facility bosses will actually feel easier than normal trainers as they have a set list of pokemon. As you go higher the game will factor in your move choice before making its own. Ultra beasts are fairly good as the ai doesn't quite understand beast boost.

High accuracy should be a factor in move choice, and your team needs to be well balanced.
>>
>>30287934
It's not so much that they have higher accuracy or Crit chance, but it's more so that the odds will eventually be stacked against you when you're fighting hundreds and hundreds of trainers. Eventually opposing trainers will have 10% Freeze chances working or you'll miss a 95% Acc move. Simply because there's a chance of it happening, and with so many battles and so many chances for something to go wrong, it's bound to happen.

That said, I believe the idea in them choosing the right teams to screw you over. One time I had a team with a few Dragon type Pokemon and all I faced were Ice and Steel types.
>>
>>30288085
They also use bright powder among other banned tactics.
But I think specific pokemon always have the same set. So you should be able to know before hand.
>>
Neat, someone on smogon finally posted the battle tree teams.

>>
>>30285823
Unless another Pokemon runs Life Orb on your Team, feel free to fuck off with the Z-splash meme anytime now.
>>
How can I beat focus sash users? I've been using:

Smeargle @ focus sash
Ability: Moody
Baton Pass
Shell Smash
Spore
Protect

Mimikyu @ Ghostium Z
Wood hammer
Swords Dance
Play Rough
Shadow Sneak

Mega Salamence
Return
Earthquake
Roost
Dragon Dance

Basically if my Mimikyu gets its disguise broken and then hit it dies and I'm left with Salamence+Smeargle with no attacks. Farthest I got was 43 wins in super singles, I guess I could give my Smeargle Ice Shard or something? I struggle with grass type leads too but switching to Salamence usually fixes it.
>>
>>30289268
Skill Link user? Also, mimikyu will probably outspeed most things after +2 speed, so maybe replace shadwo sneak with shawdow claw and give it a focus sash.
>>
am i going to regret training crabominable up from an egg if i spend the time getting him to 50+ and try him out in the battle tree?

A pretty straightforward team that actually just focused on attacking.

Got 49 win-streaks until I lost to Blue because he just Crits my Pokemon and stupid me doesn't know his coverage.
>>
>>30285793
Made it to 50 with a team of Dragonite, Aegislash, and Mega Kangaskhan. Almost got fucked at round 49 because this guy had Suicune and a Mega Kangaskhan of his own.
>>
>>30285793
Made it to the 50th battle in Super Double Battles. Gotta unlock that Passionate Battle Style Pose.

Did it with

M-Salamence
Celesteela @ AV
Xurkitree @ C. Scarf
Kartana @ Sash
