It's not remotely original to Zelda, everyone and their grandpa including older Pokemon games uses it. This "puzzle" was so fucking free. Can't believe they just had the guy RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE outright tell you the solution. Could have at least hid each number somewhere in the village past it. You can't even enter until after you've been through there anyway.

But it was also pretty tiny for this type of maze so maybe they figured it wasn't worth shit.
