It's really a mix of hate as much as love. I mean, I love that its evolutions are as man-made as it is, people shoving extra code into it to make it better. The thematics behind its evolutions are great, just, there's a load of other dead end pokemon that barely get any attention at all.

Not my least favorite not even from this gen . All it really had to do was not become humanoid and I'd be happy didn't care how many legs it was on . Sure I guess heel wrestler idea is cool but it felt a little slapped on . It doesn't get the ""cheap"" attacks like sucker punch or foul play. Overdesigned as hell, overrated as hell, overpowered as hell too. 108/95/85 defenses? With that speed and attack? No. JUST NO. This should not be allowed. That is just unfair for pseudo standards. You should not make a non-legendary bulky, strong, and fast. Every other pseudo has either bulk, power, or speed issues. Not this fucker. It laughs on base 100s. It has the power to OHKO things. Its trollish HP ensures a non Ice move won't OHKO it. This one of the examples of a pokemon's design and viability taken too far. I hope Chomp receives ZERO buffs in the future. Because it has the potential to be most broken pokemon in the history of the franchise.

Oh, and fuck Emboar too. Worst starter ever created. Samurott might've not met expectations but it deserves wayyyy less flak compared to the redundant monstrosity Tepig never should've become.
