Yeah, get a false swiper, decidueye is generally good imo due to ghost/normal immunity letting you get out of a ton of shit like wrap and so on and get some adrenaline orbs to make the wild pokemon more likely to summon help. You also don't want to status anything unless you're going to catch it. ~31 summons is a good general area for IV's. If you're going to chain longer, like the 100 chains some people here have done, you might want to set up some sort of catch team. preferably with tons of PP
I generally kill the summoner pokemon every 5 summons or so, but how long you can keep them for is really dependent on how good your background math is with their moveset.

Does anyone have any idea on the probabilities of getting "rare" SOS pokemon?

I've killed 80 Golbat, I shit you not, and still it hasn't called a Crobat.
I'm in Resolution Cave, every site says Crobat is in the SOS table, but it can't be right.What, did they give it a 1% chance? For fucking Crobat?

Same goes for Sableye in Ten Carat Hill. Killed 50ish assorted summoned pokes and no sableye ever came out before I lost my patience.

Best catcher is Lurantis. Leafage, false swipe, X-scissor, and Ingrain. Leafage has a ton of PP so you won't need Leppas for a while. False swipe is self-explanatory. X-scissor hits what Leafage can't. Ingrain is to keep you alive forever, coupled with leftovers you aren't going down.

Haven't tried Royal since it looks like a shitfest. Battle tree depends on your experience and if you can pull off a good comp with the mons you used during the game. I was able to unlock super singles after a few tries (ended with around 67BP) and seems I can pull a consistent 9 win streak(2BP per win) with Kummo, Toxapex and Decidueye.

It does, and it is much more elaborate, not only because of that, but because transform only gives you 5pp in each move. That means you have to start thinking about swapping Ditto every 10~ attacks or you might risk it struggling to death. What I did was bring a low level mon with 4 moves for them to copy, so I switch to that every time I swap the dittos out. You also have to be prepared for the imposter dittos.

3. kill summoned guys, or kill the summoner if you think its PP might be low
just repeat step 3 until you find what you want. you can find HAs with many different abilities (i.e. skill swap). IVs you need to just catch it and hope for the best after a certain point.
remember that paralyzed mons dont call for help so don't paralyze until you find what you're after.

There are some that might call different mons, for example Carbink might call sableye.

Note that this is the ONLY WAY certain Pokemon appear in the wild. Especially if its a weather based one. Castform shows up on a bunch of routes using this method but only as a SOS call Pokemon when weather is active. Gabite shows up in the dessert as a call pokemon when ANY weather is active natural or move/ability induced and there is a constant sandstorm pretty much every other day.
