This thing was a dissapointment for me. It failed to OHKO 90% of the time and would then get OHKO in return. It couldn't even handle a single special attack from an Alakazam. I thought mine just had shit IVs, but they turned out to be okay so that wasn't the problem.

Design wise I liked it on reveal until finding out its a very creepy fake bee parasite. So catching it I expected not to like it, fuck was I wrong. It was the only thing in my party that had a status move early on, could heal itself with draining kiss and that adorable bastard is one of the very VERY few fast pokemon in Alola and once it evolved I knew it was bromance to last. Competitively speaking it seems like a garbage bug but one of the best because of its typing. It'll be niche but a strong niche and more so in doubles between its high speed, quiver dance and a signature that can hurt an enemy or heal an ally with just one move.

Mine was pretty great; even though it didn't hit very hard, it managed to get me through the whole game.

I found out now why after getting to the Battle a Tree; turned out she's got 0 SpA. Guess I'll have to breed another one if I really want to use one for anything.

Caught a Cutiefly for my Dex in Melemele Meadow, absolutely didn't think I'd use it because I wanted Golisopod for my resident Bug. I only had 2 Pokémon that I was actually raising, and letting dex fodder soak up EXP Share to snag a couple easy evolutions for the dex, and Bumbles was no different.

Holy shit, Draining Kiss was all it needed to stay alive through the game once it evolved. I even put off learning Dazzling Gleam until the League because he made such a surprising tank. It helps that it's faster than most Alola Pokémon, but goddamn. Unexpected bro.
