Alien Force turned the characters to cardboard and changed everything mystical about the original series to "aliens did it"
Ultimate Alien introduced Mega Evolutions for Aliens basically which is just kind of stupid.
Omniverse was pretty good but it also had an obsession with giving Ben love interests for some reason. Made some good waifu material though. Problem is getting to Omniverse involves sitting through Alien Force and Ultimate Alien.
Reboot from what I heard is only 11 minute episodes and rehashes so much from OS it's basically just a watered down version.

some of the ultimate evolutions were okay especially when they changed how the original alien worked in the first place.

Ultimate Swampfire for example is more treelike instead of looking like plant stalks.
Ultimate Spidermonkey turned into a gorilla.
Ultimate Echo Echo gets big and loses its duplication thing.

They hyped up the ultimate human evolution for a while, like Ben's eyes turning pink for a bit after he changes back.

What it turned out to be is that Ben (as an adult) just stays a human, calls out the alien he wants powers from, and gets their powers, without transforming. Even if it's something he biologically can't do, like fly

at least Omniverse established the 'absolutely canon' future ben, who has the Biomnitrix, which lets him to become fused aliens instead which is far more interesting

Holy shit I hate stinkfly's redesign do fucking much. It the whole uniqueness and the point of it. Overall it feels like there's no variety in aliens. In the original stinkfly was gross, ghost freak and ripjaw were creepy, wildmutt was gimmicky and animalistic, wildvine was really alien like and bizarre at first, not to mention all of the later aliens. Now they all look like superheros and basically Bens costume with no distinctive characteristics about them whatsoever

Also, I rather enjoyed Alien Force and Ultimate Alien. Much more than the original, if only because I couldn't stand Ben and Gwen in the original.
