I don't follow competitive but I've been hearing the opposite, and that Primarina was the competitive one. Has smogon started tiering the new mons or what.

people use decidueye as a bulky defogger or substitute passer. it prevents doubles so its good on defensive teams which can get rekt by it

In response to the OP, it's not really good in OU. It's overused relative to its strength. It's probably the best of the three but there is no way it ends up in OU 3-4 months out. It might not even be OU by usage by the end of this month. We don't get final stats until December though.

It's likely that it will drop when bank updates, many say they use it because many moves can't be bred into their pokémon right now.

I doubt it's gonna be OU. It will be UU though, along with Incineroar with Intimidate. Primarina will be RU at best though, unless someone decides to be kind to it in the next games. Primarina is still my favorite of the three even if it isn't good though.
