Cockroaches lay these weird egg cases. They each contain up to 50 eggs, and each roach can lay up to 6-90 egg cases in her lifetime.

Weirdest thing I've ever seen involving cockroach eggcases was this one video where a pregnant cockroach was being eaten alive by fire ants. In the middle of it she just started laying the egg case, and before it was even all the way out the fire ants were tearing into it. The baby cockroaches were old enough to be viable, so some of them tried to flee while the rest were being eaten out of the egg case, but obviously they didn't last long.
