There's a 3 year gap between gen 1/3 and 2/4, at least 7 years would have had to go by between that to gen 5, then another 2 for BW2, it works out.

Looker mentions that he found Anabel 10 years before Sun & Moon. So, if we assume it took about 3 years for the Battle Frontier to be built atfer ORAS, and Anabel was the head of the Battle Tower there for about 2 years before she lost here memory, that would mean about 15 years has passed between ORAS and Sun & Moon.

So does that make the original RSE not canon because steel type exists and eggs were discovered before it's stated that Elm discovered them? This type of retconning isn't new for pokemon anon. If a game mechanic is talked about in game dialogue you should not give it so much weight, just see when z-moves or SOS happen in the next game despite them supposedly only occurring in Alola.
