I always thought this was a good idea, but they messed up with bw2. First of all, i feel like just having a completely bw save should let them know you are ready for the higher difficulty. Second of all, the experience scaling in gen 5 meant the higher level npc Pokemon meant your own could catch up to them very easily.

I think there will definitely be some follow-up on Lillie because they probably took a guess that she would be popular and they were right. With all of the signs in the games to a sequel I get a very BW/BW2 vibe from this generation. I think they decided not to do the same with XY because they had other things they wanted to do, but more importantly XY just didn't strike a chord with people the way BW and now SM do.
