I was hanging out with some acquaintances and their friends, one of the guys asked me to play against him because we had been talking about Pokémon and I mentioned I had my game with me. He was in his 20's, don't know exact age, and his team was only slightly better than that. Some people are just retarded. That's a pretty sweet in-game team. My only nitpick would be that they appear to be on the second island but are still using almost exclusively first-island Pokemon. Maybe incorporate some other ones for variety's sake. But I understand, it can be hard to bench your pals when they're doing work.

Sun and Moon has made me remember why I loved Pokemon in the first place. I originally loved the games as a child for the adventure. I originally got back into the games during Gen 5 because the casual adventure and monster catching was relaxing. At some point I became obsessed with the meta game though and now I've realized that it really sucks the fun out of everything. I really wish you could just have fun and battle people with your random incorrect nature and no IV teams, but like someone else said, you'll be playing against people who have injected flawless teams. At least the battle tree and battle royal are fun and challenging so I don't have to deal with neckbeards this gen.

The game does a very poor job of making it clear that you need to be above 50, especially to kids.
You only really find this out when you're already on the team preview screen.

Most people probably did this once and then didn't bother anymore until their team was 50. It's just a mistake that shouldn't happen because the game shouldn't even let them go online with a sub-50 team.
