Threads like this always get my Gogoat. I was 3 when generation 1 came out. Gen 2 were my first games, but by then I already loved Pokemon, I collected the TCG and had watched the anime enough to know the original 151, so I'd say I started with gen 1.

I have played all the generations at launch since then, save for BW2 because at the time I had just moved out of my parents and extra money was a distant dream, but eventually I picked up W2 and plowed through it. I would never have said I was obsessed as much as I would say I was just a big fan, but then threads like this make me feel otherwise simply because there isn't a single Pokemon, save for the current gen with obvious reasons, I couldn't tell you the name/type/generation of, especially the ones people always forget like Quilfish/Stantler/Luminiom/Maractus because they're the kings of these posts, ironically it makes them the easiest to remember.
