Anyone else here trying and failing to catch Mimikyu? I feel like pic related makes it exceedingly tedious. I honestly would not be mad of Golbat were retconned from the franchise at this point.
Let's see, there's:
Wild Haunter, prevents runs 95% of the time
Wild Golbat, prevents runs 100% of the time and often poisons or confuses my party leader in the process,
Kelfki 1%
Mimikyu <1% (?)
I'm about to give up, or throw my 3DS at a wall if I see another Golbat. No wonder Mimikyu is so requested on GTS right now.

you must be under leveled; it took me 20 minutes to hunt down a mimikyu and i had no trouble running from the onslaught of golbats and haunters. it's harder to escape from battles if your pokemon aren't as high level/higher level than the wild pokemon in the area. just put a pokemon with runaway in the first slot if it's that much trouble.
also klefki is 15% encounter rate, mimikyu is 1%.

Meh I'm using level 40 Mudsdale at the head of my party, used level 40 Golisopod before that and it just wasn't working out. I have 4 level 50s apart from that but I don't want to kill the damn thing as soon as I encounter it. It's been about 1 and a half hours and still no Mimikyu.

Slow as shit. You need to outspeed the wild Pokemon to be able to consistently run from it
