It is, but beast balls have worse catching rates on non-UBs (although Lunala is considered a UB lore-wise, it doesn't get the same boost as with other UBs.)

You catch Solgaleo/Lunala so fast because it wants to be on your team. So it doesn't matter what ball you use.
