Yes. I had more fun playing it then most other RPGs on 3DS.
If everything in this franchise is leagues above others, even its worst is good.

Compared to SunMoon
XY has a good bottom screen unlike the useless RotomDez and avoids the shitty loadfest that is festival plaza.
XY has better EV and EXP training with hordes and restaurants.
XY has better clothes selection from what I've seen.
XY has standard pokemon puzzles.

Compared to XY
SunMoon has better breeding speeds, berry farming, and shiny finding.
SunMoon has convience with no HMs.
SunMoon has good story gameplay.
SunMoon has amusing short puzzles.

/vp/ still hates it. However, I disagree.
As far as battles, story and characters are concered, XY is the worst in the series.
But the 3D world looked way nicer than anything before it, the Pokemon had good design and catching them all was a lot more fun than in SM.
