People who complain about VGC 17 and hype up 14 are memelords who have no fucking idea what they are talking about.

Hell, not even 15 or 16 were truly bad, there was actually a fuckton of variety in team composition as the meta evolved to deal with threats. It's only unfortunate that the top 8 or 16 cuts for Worlds all used the same cores when you had some actual impressive diversity if you just looked at the runner-ups right below.

'15's oversaturation with CHALK was unfortunate because people were midway through figuring out ways to deal with and counter that core when Worlds happened, and had the season lasted a little longer you would have had a vastly different metagame.
