I don't mean to rub it in OP, or anyone else, but I'm not experiencing the rare encounter rates like a lot of people on this board are. I got Pichu after a few encounters and got a Mareanie the first time I fished up a Corsola and it SOS'd.

He's not even hard to get, but he's only in the corner grass patch to the left of the stairs leading up to the area you fight Hau/Hala in town.

5% isn't that uncommon, it's like a 20 minute wait, if that.

Hell I even used Pichu to SOS happiny and then also Pikachu.
