Post the pokemon that you were expecting to be a shitmon but actually proved itself worthy in your playthrough.
>>30217345
You just did.
>>30217345
Seconding your post.
Also wingull/pelipper has been pretty boss despite expectations.
>Poison touch + poison fang
>50% chance to badly poison every turn
>Great defensive typing
It really was boss as fuck
>>30217345
I'd probably torture myself using it because of its low speed, but it's also a big headache as a for since it's bulky enough to not get one- or two-shotted by neutral hits and could only go down if I had a strong grounder with me.
i played with it but during the E4 and after it was pretty much obsolete.

What's the best strategy for the HA in VGC?
>Expecting a Muk with Poison/Dark typing to be a shitmon
What
>>30217345
This.
>Find wild Grimer
>"Oh this is gonna be useful. Pichu should be able to bring it down to red and..."
>Grimer used Bite!
>Pichu fainted...
>"MUST CATCH"
It's probably the best physical attacker I've got in my team.
>>30217345
>Poison Touch actived almost all the time
I fucking love A-Muk.
The Azumarill of Gen 7.
ribombee
>outspeeds everything
>pollen puff
>shield dust so nothing can bull shit it
I love this mother fucker
>>30217345
You have no idea how much the +10 Attack and Leech Life buff helped.
>>30217600
My experience with it is
>goes first
>leaves opponent with 10% HP even after SE hits
>gets one shotted
>>30217582
To be fair normal Muk and Skuntank hasn't exactly been a shining A+ student in the Poison/Dark department that people had low expectations
>>30217615
>tfw Ledian got absolutely nothing
Since Wormadam got Quiver Dance, it's officially the worst Bug type in the game.
>>30217345
>alolan muk is a god while drapion is mediocre
somebody explain
>>30217665
Wormadam has always been better than Shitdian though.
>>30217345
None.
I only use known strong Pokémon that guarantee they can achieve victory.
>>30217568
I bred an adamant mudbray and togedemaru with fake out on my run; sonichu was good, though it's a shame he only gets gyro ball for steel STAB...
>>30217501
The moment I evolved my Pelipper and realized it had Drizzle, I knew it was gonna be great
>>30217725
>>30217782
Yes, Wishiwashi was one of them.
>>30217685
Great bulk and slightly higher attack, I think.
Drapion is also too slow to be fast and too fast to be slow, so a sweeper set ain't great which forces it to rely on its utility movepool instead.
Its main set also has to rely on its bad Sp Def, only used because its typing lends it to be a decent pivot against most special attackers.
>>30217847
>not running Citizen Snips
>expected amoongus 2.0
>instead gotstrength sapping, spore spamming, moonlight blasting rape shroom
he had a lot of weaknesses but when he didnt he was mvp and could not be stopped
>>30218228
I really want this guy on my team but I already have Ribombee and Dartrix so I just can't justify it...
>>30218228
>big fat mushroom head
>low hp
fuck you gamefreak
>>30218425
he has enough bulk to tank a hit, spore you, then strength sap all his health back.
>>30218344
Just do it brev. I had Golisopod, Salazzle, and Ariados all on the same team, all the way up to the E4.
>>30218425
low hp high defense is best for lifesteal
>>30218228
>>expected amoongus 2.0
So you expected an OU-caliber defensive pivot?
>>30218514
golisopod and salazzle are so good it doesnt matter, shiinotic needs some teamwork.
>>30218675
Ariados was the important one there. I had two argueably better Pokemon that had at least partial identical typing, but I still beat the game without too much of a hitch.
>>30218514
I honestly might just drop Dartrix. I just want to give him a chance to redeem himself as a Decidueye first. My team in general needs an overhaul, I'm not that happy with it. Shiinotic will find his way there somehow...
I have very low expectations for grass types, but she's incredible <3
