At least it makes sense why it won't (status effected pokemon don't call for help); I have no idea why minior will not call for help.

I know. I am not sure -why- because at least Komala's ability acts like a status effect. (And status effect pokemon cannot call for help) I cannot think of a logical reason why Minior are unable to call for help.

Gameplay-wise, calling for help plus Self-Destruct plus status immunity at first could get annoying.
Lore-wise, Minior only fall to the ground when they get too heavy, so I guess there's not just Minior floating around nearby to help.

Are you referring to the fact that Komala can't be hit by Hex because it's a normal type? The post was a list of shit Comatose does, that's why I mentioned it. There's also moves like Soak and Skill Swap.
