You will want to go down there once you have Lapras ride and the fishing rod (just finish the second trial).

Basically, there is a secret cave entrance in Melemele Meadows at the bottom left side of the area. Then just go through the cave and will exit at the cave you are looking at from above.

You can catch Shelder from the bubbling fishing spot that is just outside the cave entrance. If you have Lapras ride, you can surf to the grass and find Bagon with a 10% encounter rate instead of 1% on route 3.

So how does the Pokedex work for shinies? I got a shiny Cutiefly and when it registered it came up as the shiny palette rather than the normal one. Is there a shiny Dex in this game or is it just by chance on which one you catch first?

Natures are pretty easy to determine. When you check the stats of a pokemon 2 of the stat names will have different colors, one being red and the other blue. If its red that means the stat is increased and blue means its decreased. Some natures increase and decrease the same stat meaning it does nothing. Basically the best way to determine which nature to use is to look at their best stats and try to get a nature that compliments that stat and decreases a stat they dont rely on anyways. So say you want a slowbro you would want a nature that increases defense and lowers speed since its already super slow anyways.

Is Mimikyu with max affection broken as fuck? Disguise blocks one attack, no matter what. It heals itself right after being poisoned/burned/paralyzed. One Swords Dance is enough for a Shadow Claw to instagib anything that isn't high on defense.
