Steelix sub leads to a rippling fishing spot. If you don't find it the first time just go through the door, the ripples reset everytime you do.

Just keep trying. Once I finally got mine I already reeled in 7 pearls & 4 bottle caps. (And I'm sure you know to fish at the seafolk village spot)

When there's a little whirlpool above a fishing spot it has a higher chance to spawn a rare pokemon (like 20% instead of 1%)...and one is always up per area each time you enter.

Since there's only one spot in that town and it's right by a door....there you go.

There's a boat with a fishing platform on its side you can exit and enter to reset the rare fishing spot. It's on the middle pier or something. Same boat with a Pelipper in it.

Go to that water town. Go into Stellix boat. Fish in spot at 10% chance. After the ripples go, go in and out so it resets.

Just drop your rod down and pull up a Dhelmise. When the battle starts, use a Pokeball to catch the Dhelmise. Works every time.

This. Anyone else is an idiot or trolling. I caught one as soon as I got to the boat town. You just walk out the southern door of the steelix houseboat, fish the bubbling spot. If you dont catch Dhelmise, go back inside and come back out to reset the bubbles. Rinse and repeat. It took me maybe 10 minutes to find one and it had a good nature too. Good luck, OP!

Is there a list of all the 1% pokemon in sm? A simple google search does me no good.

I want to catch one for my play through but I know they're on the last island. How late is that? Postgame?

Just run into the ship and out, rare fishing spot (the ripples in the water) will be refreshed and it now has 10% chance, shouldn't be any longer than 15 minutes to get.
