Growing a ton of Leppa Berries on the Berry island in Poképelago is pretty easy so just spam those in battle.

Don't forget that you can spam Adrenaline Orbs in battle without consuming them, allowing you to wait out the turns between each call for help.

I got a shellder on the first or second island, can't remember which. Before the volcano trial though I think. He's been doing me wonders. Icicle spear with his ability is great and if you keep him around long enough to get Clamp he'll be a god for water moves too. Before then he's pretty decent still too.

Hey anons, I recently lost my Sun version after beating and catching Solgaleo when I was out in town yesterday. It was my comfy run and I had spent all week on it catching every pokemon I could find in each route.

Fish for a corsola when the fishing spot is rippling (melemele sea).This will give you a 20% chance to get one. If you don't snag one, rinse and repeat. Leave the area, and then come back, the rippling always resets. Mareanie is not supposed to call for help, just the corsola. Use an adrenaline orb so that it keeps calling for help. After that, either use skill swap to check, or hope you get one by pure luck. I got a regenerator mareanie after like 15 chains. Good luck, cause it's annoying as fuck.

But, because he was caught at a higher level is Marowak doomed to be weaker than a Cubone hatched at level 1? A friend of mine says long-term use Pokémon should ALWAYS be bred from level 1, but not sure if that's correct.

1.) You can relearn him ExtremeSpeed. The game just looks up their learnset when relearning and doesn't care when they evolved or anything like that. If it's on the learnset you can relearn it. Simple as that.

2.) Your friend it retarded. Mathmatically speaking all Pokémon end up in the same place regardless of how they got there. A level 1 Pokémon with a maxed Attack IV, EV investment, and nature will end up the same numerically as one that was raised from level 50 at level 100.

It's definitely worth it. It's frail, but in game that isn't really an issue due to speed. It's not the only solid poison or fire type though, so there are other options. Alolan Muk is excellent if you want a poison type, and Alolan Marowak is good if you want a fire type. Both Grimer and Cubone are much more common.
