What do you press?
>>30182324
Y to select the Pokeball and A to throw it
Hold down and alternate A and B
The power button.
>>30182324
Down+B
>>30182324
Ever since Crystal as a kid, I tap B on every ball bounce/wiggle, and hold down on the d-pad the whole time to keep it restrained it the ball.
For some reason it always results in a better catchrate for me, even if it's just mental illness.
>>30182337
>A to throw it
You can press Y again.
mash A
I also do while Pokemon attack
>>30182324
Does the L+A thing actually work?
>>30182324
Press and hold B when the ball opens and let go when it closes
>>30182324
Nothing.
>>30182387
It's actually L+R+Start
B, but you have to time it EXACTLY when the ball hits and hold it down as hard as you can until the catch is confirmed.
Ilook away from the screen if I'm trying to catch legendaries
>>30182351
This right here. B for Ball and down to keep it in.
how many new pokemons not aloha forms are put into the game? more than in x/y ?
a+b rapidly while throwing
then I time my d pad movement to mimic the ball shake
>>30182324
B and left on the d pad
Half A-press.
>>30182455
I don't think so but I could be wrong.
>>30182420
asshole
>>30182560
First time I can post this, sweet.
>>30182726
>kissanime
Ya shouldn'tve.
>>30182756
Ya I just noticed that. Well bye fampai I´m off to go kill myselfe.
Up when it opens and rocking the dpad in rhythm with the ball shakingm.
Used to press down+ b as a kid. Now I just watch because I know the RNG determines whether or not you'll catch it the moment you press a.
L+R+A+B repeating over and over as soon as the Pokeball closes over the pokemon
>>30182351
Since I played red and blue back when it released I pressed up and B.
tap A
I don't think it helps the game, it just helps my anxiety
If you didn't press and hold B the second the ball opens, you don't know shit about Pokemon because you're a post 98fag.
I used to just hold A.
>>30182324
Alternate between L and R opposite to the ball's movement.
Back when red/blue was the only game in town, i pressed down and B.
Now? I press.... nothing.
>>30182324
A rapidly before it shakes
>>30182351
Tap A as soon as the ball is thrown. Tap A again as soon as the ball opens. Then tap A for every wiggle.
>>30183792
I can't break the habit.
>>30182350
underrated post
>>30182324
My crossed fingers together. They uncross when the ball starts shaking so I can hold up one finger for every shake.
>>30182351
Always.
Down on the d-pad or joystick and then tap A
>>30182324
Nothing, I just stare intensely at the screen or put the game down an check something on the computer.
>>30182324
Nothing but I squint and lean closer each time it shakes. It's autistic but it's not like anyone's watching.
A every time the ball is supposed to shake
Why do you just button mash, you fucking autists. Nothing helps.
Nothing, because I'm not an autist.
Does any of that button pressing actually works?
L+R and mash a
>>30182407
>Being this new
>>30182324
Nothing. I'm afraid pressing buttons will jinx it.
I'm just prematurely mashing B already to get past the nicknaming, Pokedex and boxing shit that happens afterward, especially if I'm only absentmindedly playing Pokemon while doing something else.
>>30184564
No. It's entirely dependent on a mathematical formula.
>>30182324
>press
there's no pressing in pokemon go just flick the ball with your finger dumbass
Down and hold B
Then shake the 3DS
>>30182407
>>30182425
Only right answers.
>>30182324
Y > Y > left/right synchronizing with the ball movements
Left + B
On a side note is anyone else super disapointed in the new catch animation. I was so used to the click + light up animation that this new Pokeball icon that pops up feel so underwhelming. Its like a ruined orgasm
Now the real question is during status effects like confused.
If I get confused (failed), and i don't press any buttons I switch to mashing A, then the attck works the follow turns I do that.
Same if the opposite happens.
>>30182324
up b, then slightly move the joy stick in the direction it turns as it turns, then down b to capture
I half press a
I mash A and X together
Press and hold B as soon as you hear the Pokeball "click" when the Pokemon gets inside.
I swear it works. It's like the Nitro in Mario Kart where you get the turbo boost if you do it at the right time.
>>30182324
Rotate D-pad, mash A, solid combination
Mash A, move left and right on d pad (not in time with ball)
>>30184564
no, but back in gen 1 there was a rumor about it, at least down and b was, I remember reading it in some "guide" at a blockbuster when I was a kid
Used to do it as a kid, never do it anymore. Not sure why. Maybe because I hate the feeling when a button is sorta stuck and don't want to accelerate the process for me 3fs
nothing
pressing buttons won't even help, i don't understand the people that do
Istare at the screen
>>30182324
press A when the luxury ball close, then pres right or left as the ball moves
I used to mash A and B. Don't know when I stopped though.
Nothing.
I mashed either the A or B buttons as fast as possible after the throw, also I literally prayed hard to jesus for him to let the pokeball work whenever I was catching legendaries, then curse him out when the balls inevitably kept breaking open, catching that fr/lg zapdos really made me feel religiously conflicted back then
Tap A on each bounce of the ball, hold A and then the direction on the dpad I want the ball to wiggle next. Its really stupid sounding now but its very cathartic.
I hold down + a and b as soon as the ball makes contact.
Press A in the exact moment the 'mon gets in the pokeball + A in every shake when I feel extra autistic
>>30182324
that like button
>>30182351
>not up+b
>>30182324
I press my face to the screen and quietly whisper to my N3DS that it better fucking catch this one.
>>30194236
>this
>>30182324
knowing the 3ds picks up movement from mariokart and shit I shake the 3ds ever so slightly back an forth.
>>30184564
No. Catch rates are percentages that are inherent to each species of pokemon, that you can increase by the methods everyone knows (lowering health, inflicting status conditions, using better types of pokeballs). If the pokemon you want in the conditions it's in has a 30% catch rate, then those are your odds of success everytime you throw a ball, and mashing buttons isn't going to change that. People have dissected the code of the games and have proven this.
Down+B
>>30182324
If I got the catch rate and the math, I use statistics and patience.
Otherwise Left on the D-pad and A as soon as the Pokéball closes
Hold B when it closes and won't release until the second shake
Tap A every time the ball bounces, holding it on the last one.
>>30182324
I always press A just as the ball snaps shut. .
Poke balls are just A.
Great balls are press A while rotating the control stick, alternating the direction with each nudge of the ball.
Ultra balls are just like great balls but you stop at the 3rd nudge when the control stick is up, and immediately shift it down to lock it in.
I always press down on the d-pad and a+b all at the same time the moment the ball closes.
Some kid in grade school told me it increases chances but obviouslyhe was right.
>>30182324
I check twitter notifications while the boring animation plays.
>>30193934
This is objectively the only correct way
Whenever I get hit by an attack, I automatically hold right on the D-pad to try to prevent my Pokemon's health from falling further
Grab the tip of my penis as hard as I can
I nod my head to the same side the ball shakes to
>>30182351
this
>>30182324
>Be me
>Playing Fire Red
>Have zero luck with Safari Zone Pokemon
>One year later hear about the whole "down+b,a,b,a" trick
>Get skeptical but curious
>Do it a month later
>Caught a Tauros
>Caught a Kangaskhan
>Caught a Chansey
>Thought "It actually worked"
>>30196279
I exhaled out of my nose a little, good job
I rotate around the D-Pad
Up + B as soon as the ball opens. It works.
>>30182324
EVERYTHING!!!
Press and hold A and B simultaneously with my thumb.
>>30182367
>even if it's just mental illness.
I kek'd!
>>30182324
Down until the ball hits the ground, then down + B
>>30194734
Doesn't inflicting negative stat stages also up the catch rate a bit, and positives lower it?
A, because I'm impatient and hit it way too many times to advance through the battle text.
>>30182324
I always did left and A
>>30182324
Pokemon Go finally destroyed my B pressing autism.
>>30182324
Make a posee and start laughing
>>30182324
I blow into the mic
>>30182324
>pressing anything and lowering your catch rate
>>30182407
Got it right
I don't press anything; but I do rotate my hat just before throwing the ball.
Press turn ;)
hold down w
>>30186127
? There can only be 1 A press
>>30182324
I'm not autistic
>>30182324
I tap A with a different rhythm each throw, every time i capture one i'm convinced I hit the right rhythm
Type "pepperonipizza" and press Enter
I want to actually catch my Pokemon so I hold A.
>>30183263
This.
A + -->
>>30182324
190 lbs x5 x3
Press B when they're caught and hold it until just after the 2nd wiggle
Press A in sync of the pokeball shaking.
Press B to close it once three successful shakes happen.
>>30182324
Press and hold R+B right when the ball closes, keep holding it and quickly releasing it pressing again when it jiggles
I dunno why but that's always been my thing and it usually works
Down + A + B
>>30182324
All of em, obviously
