Would've picked Marowak-A over Salazzle but I heard it doesn't get its signature move until the move re-learner very late into the game which kinda sucks.

It's not all that bad with Eviolite and Wild Charge, and while Vikavolt is really good I don't think I'd want to have that little box on my team next goaround. If you want Vikavolt that badly, just nab the evolved form at the power plant and wait until you get to the last island. Save your rare candies to make the grind easier.

My point was that if you complete the game with Magneton w/eviolite you're putting it basically on super-facedesk-easy mode. The games got some nice challenges this time around and the exp share means you can change your team up pretty easily as you go along

Don't fucking ruin it by breeze-walking with a magneton.

It's probably the case that most posts saying game is too easy probably swept to victory with magnetons or other OP pokemon/used exp share constantly and never changed their team up.

Since I'm not using Exp.Share and I'm trying to keep grinding to a minimum I'm limiting the amount of pokémon I'm training, at least for now in the lower levels. It's also useful to keep a few spares in the box in case I'm met with a party wipeout out of nowhere, that way I can keep playing. Type coverage was massively lacking, I was insanely weak to Rock and a few other types, but I made it work. I beat everything using no EXP Share and no grinding.

I beat the entire E4 without using any healing items except for the champion who I used a single Full Restore on because I was tired of resetting for god tier luck. Was a really fun experience.

Bottom team is what I had planned to use for a while. I knew I'd have to trade for Passimian since I was getting Moon but was kinda bummed I had to trade for a Vulpix too, they ended up being added to my team just before the E4 but didn't actually get used since they were way under-leveled.

Was even more bummed that the Purple nectar for Oricorio was not only on the last island, but only available after the E4, so I used the Yellow and Red nectar to change mine up until I could get the Purple nectar.
