Kid me was royally pissed

The original is, the HP system in Almia allowed for much lazier enemy design and resulted in much slower placed gameplay

It has its merits though with more RPG elements

That one's second best, if only because the voices get grating after a while and puzzle games on the N64 controller are just Not Fun.

I once had a 3D-mode marathon vs a friend, best out of 3 rounds, about two hours fighting before we had a winner. It was great, until I realized that once I let go of the controller, my hands were so stiff I could neither fully open nor close my hands. I never had that problem while marathoning on my GB, GBA, or 3DS

Also Planet Puzzle League tops both just for the godly touch screen controls, but it's not Pokemon so it doesn't count.
