They really cucked the Alola mons in terms of speed, didn't they? So many of the poor bastards have been ruined by that.

I'm running a Jolly Incineroar and maxing out his speed EVs, followed by his IVs when Hyper Training becomes available for me. If they were going to reduce one of Torracat's stats upon evolution, I just wish it was special attack instewd of speed. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any hope of GF changing this, even if it is like some other cross gen stat adjustments like taking ten points away from one and adding it to another.

Still, Incineroar's movepool is surprisingly ok. I'd like for it to learn Fire Punch by tutor, but alas I'll just have to lessen the recoil of Flare Blitz with Leech Life and maybe some Leftovers. Hopefully the next games to feature them will give them that move and a range of others.

The speed power creep that was created in Gen III, IV and V was just too intense and they really needed to change that.
But, i still think this Gen was a good occasion to make a big overall stats change on a lot of Pokemons and GF didn't delivered.

I used to hate Incineroar's design when it first leaked, but then I saw his darkest lariat clip, his special Z-move, and his reactions in refresh, and I ended up realizing he's a goof and hilarious. I'm glad he was my first gen 7 starter, he's been really reliable in-game, and I appreciate his over-the-top theatrical wrestling antics.
