Not necessarily once. If you can get 100 pts twice in a day then you can use island scan twice. Remember that QR scan recharge every 2 hours so effectively you can use island scan every 20 hours.

Also, you don't have to use island scan right away. You can save it up for the next day if you feel like the current day's rooster are shit while letting the QR scan charge simultaneously.
